Thames Valley Summer Schools has operated high quality residential summer courses for overseas students for over 35 years. Courses are accredited by the British Council. The Company’s administrative office is in Windsor and courses are held in prestigious independent schools, mostly in the south-east.
We are looking for a number of
highly-motivated and enthusiastic teenagers living locally to Bradfield College, Epsom College or Rugby School, to join in the summer school activities with our international students at these three centres. This will provide the overseas students with the opportunity to meet and interact with British children, as well as giving you a great experience this summer. Ideally, you’ll be aged between 14-16 years and be available for two, three or four weeks in the summer.
In overall charge of each centre is a Course Director who manages the summer courses there. Working with him/her is the Recreation Director who is responsible for the recreation programme, and ensures you are fully involved in a variety of recreation activities. The Director of Studies manages the English language programme, with assistance from a Senior Teacher. He/she will oversee you as you help the international students practise their English in class. In addition, the Senior Housemaster/Housemistress will be responsible for your welfare whilst you’re with us. The average supervisory adult to student ratio is 1:6, and our staff at the centre will give you support and guidance throughout the day. |
