Rugby School
Founded in 1567
INTENSIVE TRINITY COURSE • AGES 12 -17
Rugby is one of the oldest and most famous schools in England. It was founded during the reign of Elizabeth I and its splendid history is reflected in its stately buildings, classrooms and courtyards.
Here in 1823, one of the students, William Webb Ellis, picked up a soccer ball and ran with it. In the process, he created rugby - a game that has since been taken up around the world.
Games are still played on the original pitch and visiting students are more than welcome to take part.
A MORE INTENSIVE COURSE WITH SMALLER CLASSES
The course at Rugby is designed for students who are keen to speed up improvement in their accuracy and fluency in English. To this end, we've reduced the class size to an average of 9 students and increased the teaching programme to 30 lessons a week.
These lessons are broken down into morning classes, five days a week (25 x 40 minutes), plus two afternoons of classes - one with three lessons, the other with two.
The extra tuition should enable you to take the Trinity examination at a more challenging level. The grades we prepare you for can be any from 1-10 (levels pre A1-C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), equivalent to beginner - advanced.

A GREAT LOCATION
The school takes its name from the historic market town of Rugby, and is based in an area known as the Heart of England.
From here, many historic landmarks are within easy reach. And you're invited to join us on organised excursions (dependent on your course dates) to some of the most popular.
The number one attraction is invariably Stratford-upon-Avon - birthplace of William Shakespeare. It's only 35km away and is a beautifully preserved town of Elizabethan streets and charming alleyways.
Nearby is Warwick Castle - the finest medieval castle in the country - with its great hall, magnificent towers and the darkest of dungeons.
Another short coach ride takes you to the famous university towns of Oxford and Cambridge. There is so much to see here, that you'll need the whole day to take it all in.
By train, you can be in central London in just 50 minutes. This too, is a full-day trip. You'll go shopping in Oxford Street or Covent Garden, enjoy a cruise on the river Thames or take in a visit to the London Eye/British Museum.
